Hello and welcome back! There are many places I am missing right now,
as I am sure many other people as well, but Paris is definitely one of
them. It is one of my favourite places and we are only 3.5 hours away
by train....so close and yet so far. Today's card features not only one of my favourite places but also my absolute favourite medium to use - alcohol inks!
I cut out a second skyline from some black cardstock, as I wanted it to kind of give a shadow to it and it was perfect! The sentiment is from Wishing You from Wplus9 and and I white heat embossed it. It is perfect and doesn't take over too much of the background.
I wasn't too sure of pairing the 2 pieces together when my husband suggested it, but you know what...I kind of like it! The bit of black peeking out from behind the skyline kind of grounds it a bit and gives some separation to it as well.
And that's it for my card today. It is more of a simple card although it may not seem like it, as not much was involved in making it. And I know I always say this, but always always always hold on to your pieces you don't like that may be destined for the trash, as you never know how they can be used. This background piece I had reworked abit and I love it so much more now.
I am also entering this card into the following card challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Make your own background
Time Out Challenges #179 - Be You
Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me. I hope you enjoy my card for today. I'd love to know what you think down in the comments and I'd love for you to become a subscriber, that way you won't miss out on any future posts.

This is so beautiful. Love your background and using it to cut a Paris skyline is a brilliant idea. ReplyDeleteI'm infatuated with your alcohol ink work. Even ordered some Nara paper after hearing you rave about it. Now to just use it...
