Bold and Beautiful New Release - RachelVassDesigns

Yeah....it's release day (okay was yesterday and I'm a day late with this post) over at RachelVassDesigns! Today I am back sharing the first of 2 cards made with this fabulous floral new release, Bold and Beautiful and she's definitely bold and beautiful! This digital stamp set features a beautiful sunflower and has some great sentiments to go with it.   For my first card I thought what better direction to go in than to make her as bold and beautiful as her name, hence the sentiment as well.

To create my card I enlarged the image so it was quite large and placed it off the side of the cardstock panel. I realize now that maybe I made the sentiment a wee bit too big, but it definitely is bold and beautiful, as it says and makes a statement. I next grabbed some Copic markers and wanted a vibrant colour palette, so I coloured each petal a different colour but in the same order around. Once my colouring was complete, I added some flecks of black paint and then trimmed it down a bit smaller than my card base (unfortunately some of the paint wasn't fully dry yet, so a few little bits smeared a bit). I popped it up a bit using some white craft foam and that's it!

I really hope you love my card as much as I did making it! Be sure to hop on over to Rachel's Etsy shop and grab yourself this set as well as many others. Oh and she also has a new blog and to help celebrate the launch of that, she has a special 20% off code if you subscribe to her blog. So run don't walk now and get yourself that code!

As always I thank you so very much for taking a little time out of your day to spend a little time with me. I hope you all have a wonderful day and take some time to be crafty! Until next time, Michelle :)
