Hello and welcome back! Today I have my project to share with you for the Creative Watercolor Media class for my level 2 in the AECP. This class was taught by 3 amazing and very talented artists....Jennifer Rzasa, Laura Bassen and Debby Hughes. I am always in complete awe of Debby Hughes' work...she is an amazing watercolorist (is that a word?), so I decided to do one of the techniques she taught.....ink smooshing with masking using Altenew inks.
Hello crafty friends....today I am sharing 2 cards plus a video using this months subscription box from The Hedgehog Hollow. I used both of the stencils and did a bit of ink blending to bring them to life. I wanted them to have more of a classic look. Throw in a bit of heat embossing and they are quick and simple.
Hello and welcome back! I am working my way through my level 2 AECP classes and today is With A Twist. This class is taught by the wonderful Therese Calvird. In this class she taught us to look at our supplies in a different way than we normally would, use colours we would not use and to think out of the box. For my card I decided to use a colour that I rarely, if ever use...brown and I especially don't ever use it for flowers. I think brown is always (or at least I do) thought of as a sad kind of meh boring colour and not so cheerful. So that is the colour I was using and on flowers too!
Hi there and welcome back! Today I am sharing my card I made for the class In the Mood For Color which is part of my level 2 AECP. In this class we learned to create cards using colours to convey a feeling, as all colours represent a certain feeling and/or message and the moods associated with them. For my card I went with a different colour palette than what was shown in class. We have been having quite abit of rain here this month...May is always kind of rainy for us. So because of this I wanted to convey that rainy and kind of dreary and neutral feeling that gray brings....although there is a wee bit of other colours hidden in the flowers, as the sun has peeked out a few times. Like The Carpenters say in their song...Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.
Hi there and welcome back! I'm sharing a slimline card using a new stamp set featuring a gorgeous dahlia flower and a bit of stencilling. I adore the look of a stencil and some white texture paste to make a background for a beautiful floral! It adds that little bit extra to it without distracting your eye from the floral. And just something about the crisp and clean white paste on a white background is absolute perfection!
Hello crafty peeps! I'm sharing a fun card using some fun new stencils from Maker Forte and the super cool Marshmallow paste! There is a brand new designer over at Maker Forte and she is the very talented mixed media artist Mansi of Mansi Makes. She has designed these new stencils that I really enjoyed playing with and especially when I paired them with the awesome marshmallow paste from Maker Forte. Have you tried this paste yet? It is sooo much fun!
