Altenew August 2022 Bold & Beautiful Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes!)

Hello crafty people and thanks for joining us.  Today we are celebrating the Altenew August 2022 Bold & Beautiful Release with a fabulous hop overflowing with amazing inspiration!  Be sure to hop along with us for a chance at $300 in prizes, as we can't wait for you to see all that Altenew has in store for you!  Be bold and be beautiful!  This release includes fabulous florals, a geometric background and even a set of sentiments perfect for the bibliophile in your life!  We know that you will love creating all kinds of projects with the stamps, dies, stencils and embossing folders in this release. Let's get crafty!

Rolling Foliage 3D Embossing Folder

The Rolling Foliage 3D Embossing Folder is so pretty!  I love the dimension you get with this!  Some of the flowers are completely raised up and some is just the outline of the flowers....it is super pretty!  For this I just did a simple ink blended background.  Once I ran the background through my die cutting machine with the folder, I went over the raised areas with a piece of sanding paper.  This allows you to gently remove the top layer of the paper and with this comes the ink blending you just did.  This brings out a beautiful contrast between the ink blending and the white underneath and really highlights the embossed design.  I then paired this with a trio of sentiments from the One-Go Birthday Sentiments (which is also part of this release).

Intricate Mandala Background Stencil

The new Intricate Mandala Stencil is as the name suggests, a beautiful and delicate background stencil.  I love how you get both the positive and negative stencil pieces, so you can use it with ease, whether that be ink blending or texture paste without worrying about staying within the main design.  For my card I stayed fairly simple. I placed my stencil down, sprinkled on some pigment powders, gave it a few sprays of water and that was it.  A strip of contrasting black and white diagonal stripes and a beautiful sentiment paired with it perfectly.  This is really a beautiful stencil and I cannot wait to use it over and over again!

Wildflower Garden Add-On Stamp and Die Set

How sweet is this little Wildflower Gardens Add-On Stamp Set!  This is the perfect little addition to the rustic Wildflower Garden Stamp Set.  For my card I decided to keep it sweet and simple and simply by featuring the add-on flower.  I stamped the flower using several different colours of inks, to try and achieve a kind of ombré look to it.  To try and keep the image grounded, I added some bakers twine and a bow below the flowers and then finished it with the sentiment from the same stamp set.  That was it....CAS and keeps the focus on this sweet flower.

Precious Doodles Stamp and Die Set

I love these fun flowers in the Precious Doodles Stamp and Die Set...the stripes on the flowers brings that fun look to them and I love the hand drawn doodle feel as well.  For this I wanted to keep it simple and just feature a beautiful arrangement of these flowers.  I stamped and diecut all of the flowers and leaves and arranged them on my cardbase.  Next I added the perfect touch using the groupings of bubbles/circles, which just finished it off perfectly.  The sentiment was added using the One-Go Birthday Greetings Stamp and Die Set.

One-Go Birthday Greetings Stamp and Die Set

The One-Go Birthday Greetings Stamp and Die Set is definitely one to turn to over and over again and some of the greetings can be used for more than just birthdays.  You wanna know the great thing about this set?  Since all of the greetings are connected, stamp and die included, they all stamp at the same time and then just once through your diecut machine and that's it...easy peasy!  Their shapes all diecut a bit differently from one another, so adds a fun bit of interest to them.  For my card above I wanted to give it a bit of a masculine feel so I gold heat embossed one of the greetings, used the City Scene Stencil, some black texture paste and some gold and black ink splatters and that was it.

Dazzling Dahlia Stamp, Simple Colouring Stencil and Die Set

How fabulous are these big dahlia flowers in the Dazzling Dahlia Product Suite (stamp, die and coordinating simple colouring stencil)! Dahlias are one of the many beautiful flowers that bloom in the summer and these are just as gorgeous as the real thing!  I love the big petals, which make it perfect for different colouring techniques.  For my card above I used the coordinating colouring stencil, which makes it so easy to add some colour to these beauties.  I added it all to a dry embossed background using the Flowing Drops Stencil and a sentiment from the same stamp set.

Well Read Stamp Set

The new Well Read Stamp Set is full of beautiful quotes from some of the most amazing and inspiring authors.  When you don't quite have the words to say exactly how you feel, this is the perfect stamp set. I kept this card simple, to try and keep the focus on the quote.  For this I simply used the Poppy Bloom Stencil and that was it. A few black ink splatters finished it perfectly.
