Hi friends! Welcome to the October 2022 Altenew Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop + Giveaway. You can check out the entire new collection here. This hop is filled with so much amazing inspiration along the way for you! If you have just happened upon my blog you can head on over to the Altenew Card Blog to start at the beginning. You should have made it here from Meghan Kennihan and your next stop will be Amy Hill.
Outlined Thank You Die
This is a fabulous large die that will definitely take centre stage on your project. I cut it out using the brushed silver cardstock and added it to a panel that was foiled in black using the Rainbow Burst Hot Foil Plate and some light ink blending behind it to highlight it even more. You could make this as subtle or bold as you want.
Triangle Madness Die Set
Okay now how fun is this die set! There are so many colour combinations that I had thought of, but I wanted to know if keep it more elegant and went with a classic black and gold combo with a neutral in there to help ground it. And you know what.....I LOVE how this looks! All it needed was a sentiment, which I turned to the new Versatile Greetings Die Set and and that was it.....perfect!
Versatile Greetings
This new die set is definitely one that you will need to add to your crafty stash! It includes both hot foil plates as well as dies, that can be used with or without the coordinating hot foil plates. For my card above, I used the foil plates and the die to cut it out. I used some gold foil and added it to a simple background made using the Sugarplums Alcohol Ink Bundle. I really love this set and will be turning to it time and time again.
Gracious Peonies
These beautiful bold blooms deserve nothing more than to have all eyes on them! I coloured the florals using the coordinating stencil in perhaps unconventional colours, but hey...anything is possible in nature, right. It was added to a simple ink blended ombré background, but going from side to side instead of the usual top to bottom ombrè.
Adorned Frame
I decided to give this frame an elegant look. I hot foiled in gold the frame onto some black flocking that you would normally use for toner foiling, to kind of try and mimic black velvet. I added a simple gold foiled sentiment using the Holiday Greetings. I love the simple elegance of this and the non-traditional christmas colours.
