Seize the Stamp hop featuring PIgment Craft Co.

Hello crafty friends!  Michelle here and today is an exciting day as I am joining the rest of the Seize the Stamp Design Team over on Instagram for a hop featuring the new fabulous Pigment Craft Co. products in the shop.  Pigment Craft Co. is a fairly new company in the crafting/card making industry.  Their products are so fun and have a bit of whimsical feel to them.  They have recently introduced inks to their collection as well and they have a beautiful earthy feel to them.  Their products are also a bit different than everything else out there, which makes them so amazing!

For my card I used the Bitty Dot Stencil, Jumbo Botanicals Blossoming Flower Die, Blossoming Stamp Set and the Dashing Sentiments Stamp Set and coordinating die. The Bitty Stencil is actually a set of 2, so you can layer them up or even just use 1 of the layers, but they layer together perfectly and I love the perfectly random placement of the polka dots!  I wanted a classic look to it so I just did some simple ink blending with a dye ink rather than Distress Oxide as I didn't want the chalky look that the Oxides give. I do love a classic black and white polka dot look!

For the flowers and buds I stamped out quite a few of them from the Blossoming Stamp Set (because it's always good to have too many than not enough) using different combinations of Glow, Quince, Terra Cotta and Fig inks.  These inks stamp beautifully!  And as they dry they even out wonderfully, so although they may seem at first a wee bit splotchy, after they dry they look perfect!  Oh and the earthy colour palette is gorgeous!  For the largest flower I die cut it using the Jumbo Botanicals Blossoming Flower and to get a coordinated look with the rest of the flowers, I did some ink blending using Terra Cotta and Glow.  These inks as well as stamping beautifully, they also blend like butter....so smooth and effortless!  Needless to say I'm a huge fan of these inks and will definitely need all the colours lol.  I used a white gel pen to add some simple black dots to the black stamen??? on the diecut for a bit of interest.

For the leaves I tried to find more earthy toned inks from my stash that would go with the Pigment inks and they worked perfectly.  For the sentiment I used the Dashing Sentiments Stamp and die set.  I love how different the font is and it just adds to the whimsical feel of it with the fun font they use!  I did a little bit more ink blending to diecut out a second sentiment without the stamping, so I'd be able to layer it behind, as it was getting a bit lost amongst the flowers.  It gave just enough contrast and of course matched the flowers perfectly!

I adhered them all to a black mat using liquid adhesive and some foam squares and then to my A2 cardbase and then finished it off with a few clear bubbles.  To say that I am in love with this card is an understatement.  I absolutely adore how this all goes together perfectly and coordinates so well!  And well, I think the polka polka dot background just makes it!

I hope that you will head on over to Instagram and hop along with us for a chance to win some Pigment products of your own!  And then be sure to check out the website to see all that Rachel has in shop!  Oh and if you happen to see something that you love be sure to use my code STSMICHELLE10 to save 10%...who doesn't like to save a bit, right!
